Apache Tomcat and Apache http server were created for the different porpoises but most of the times people confused about their functionality just because they solve the same issues. Along with the tomcat interview questions preparing for the other necessary segments like default ports, web containers and Apache Tomcat is also beneficial. Tomcat is normally defined as a reference implementation of the Java Servlet and the Java Server Page (JSP) Specifications. It basically executes Java servlets and renders web pages which include JSP coding. It is available on the Apache site in both source and binary versions. The output should be compared with the contents of the SHA256 file. Similarly for other hashes (SHA512, SHA1, MD5 etc) which may be provided. Windows 7 and later systems should all now have certUtil. Note the extra 'EE'. This includes among others the Web Tools Platform with among others a lot of server plugins with among others the one for Apache Tomcat 5.x. It's also logically; JSP/Servlet is part of the Java EE API.
Only current recommended releases are available on the main distributionsite and its mirrors. Historical releases, including the 1.3, 2.0 and 2.2families of releases, are available from the archive download site.
Apache httpd for Microsoft Windows is available froma number of third party vendors.
